"One of my favorite events we have at Pi Beta Phi are our philanthropy events! I remember my freshman year we hosted the Angels Give You Wings philanthropy & it was so much fun! We got to mix up flavored redbulls to sell & raise money for Read>Lead>Achieve. Our philanthropy, Read>Lead>Achieve hits home for me so much due to how much of my life I have dedicated to teaching & spending time with children. I admire so much that our philanthropy is dedicated to helping children grow and achieve the ability to read! During the event my freshman year, I spent almost the whole day at the Pi Phi house just hanging out with sisters, listening & dancing to music, & connecting with our awesome WSU community. It is amazing to see how many people come together to support our philanthropy & have fun doing so!" - Kelly S.

"When I came to WSU after being home for my first semester due to COVID, I was very nervous about making friends. Luckily, there were several girls from MC 20 living on south side where I was. We met up very soon upon getting to Pullman and became close quickly. I was so grateful to have a community and group of friends when I finally got to Pullman. Having these automatic connections thanks to Pi Phi made me feel so comfortable and it made the strange transition to being in Pullman feel more normal. We spent so much time together doing everything from going out in the snow to take pictures and hang out to going to the gym. We were constantly in each others rooms doing homework or getting ready. These girls I met through Pi Phi and living on south side spring 2021 are some of my best friends and I am so grateful to them for giving me the best freshman experience I could have had despite all the changes due to COVID." - Ellen P.

"It’s hard for me to narrow down one memory in pi phi as my favorite but if I had to choose I would say the time I finally got to meet my little in person! I first met Elly through virtual recruitment and fell in love with her immediately! We kept in touch and eventually made plans to meet up in person. FUN FACT, when we first met I already knew she was my little but she didn’t know yet!! I’m so grateful that Pi Phi gave me the little sister I never had growing up. Love you always Elly." - Kenzie H.
